Amigos de Nicaragua provides services to Returned Peace Corps Volunteers
(RPCVs) living in the United States and elsewhere, and continues to encourage economic development in Nicaragua.
Services for RPCVs:
- Printed newsletter (Dalepue Nicaragua), distributed twice a year
- Online message forums, where RPCVs correspond with the rest of the group, ask questions, share news and announcements, and stay in touch.
- News briefs of the last two weeks' headlines from major Nicaraguan periodicals
- Liason services using our extensive RPCV database, to find RPCVs in your area
- Annual events such as barbecues, fundraisers, and more
- Periodic sales of Nicaraguan merchandise and handicrafts. All profits from the sales are turned into economic support for projects.

Services for Nicaragua:
- Membership dues collected are used to support grass-roots projects, often run by current Peace Corps Volunteers.
- "Knowledge base" that current Peace Corps Volunteers and Peace Corps staff can use to solicit additional information about relative topics such as soil conservation. Our members currently work in myriad professional fields and have offered their expertise to those who need support.
- "Adopt a Project" program, where Peace Corps Volunteers can solicit funding for their projects. Interested RPCVs can agree to provide a limited amount of funding for specific projects, and establish the conditions for the funding's use.
